Lauren and her team, in collaboration with JMD Builders, undertook a complete renovation of this 3,400-square-foot, single-floor residence—thoughtfully reimagining it to serve as both a sophisticated living space and a gallery-like backdrop for the client’s curated collection of emerging, contemporary artists.

The kitchen was meticulously designed to optimize the apartment’s unique architectural footprint, offering ample storage and functionality for entertaining, all while maintaining a crisp, sculptural aesthetic.

To honor the home’s Beaux-Arts architecture, Lauren custom-designed a series of bespoke furnishings, each tailored to the scale and flow of the space. Among them, a gracefully curved sofa anchors the living room—echoing the arc of the windows and drawing the eye outward to sweeping views of Lake Michigan.

The result is a refined, light-filled sanctuary where architecture, art, and design blend together in effortless, luxurious harmony.
