Velvet Edged Modernism

Velvet Edged Modernism
This stunning, ground-up residence was a true collaboration between myself and my team, Foxwood Development, and Moment Design Architects—every detail meticulously considered and beautifully executed.
Our clients, originally from Mexico, brought with them a distinct design sensibility we’ve come to define as Industrial-Chic: a sophisticated fusion of elegance, shimmer, and raw, natural materials. To bring their vision to life, we artfully blended refined finishes with organic textures. Sleek, custom white oak millwork was crafted to preserve the wood’s natural knots, adding warmth and authenticity. Antique mirrors were paired with weathered wood, while hammered metal furnishings played against soft, luxurious textiles to create a rich, layered contrast.
The flooring features wide-plank white oak, with sections laid in a strikingly elegant herringbone pattern to add depth and movement. Custom-designed metal and glass doors elevate the architectural envelope, while a bespoke wine room in the lower level serves as both a showpiece and a sanctuary.
The culmination is a luxurious home that feels both bold and elegant- rooted in texture, elevated by detail, and entirely personal.
